Seeking young adults to join our paid Youth Steward team!

Are you interested in learning how to grow your own food?

We are seeking motivated young adults interested in gardening, food justice, and food forest agriculture to join our 2026 Youth Steward team. No prior experience is required—just curiosity, reliability, and a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty.

Ages: 18–24 (by March 1, 2026)
Dates: March 1 – November 1, 2026 (~40 weeks)
Hours & Pay: 2 hours/week @ $18/hour
Positions Available: 5

This role is ideal for people who:

  • Want hands-on experience in gardening or urban agriculture

  • Enjoy being outdoors and working on uneven ground

  • Are interested in plants, food justice, and ecological systems

  • Are looking for a supportive learning environment

Expectations:

  • Show up consistently and on time

  • Ask questions and participate actively

  • Use tools safely and responsibly

  • Work respectfully with others

Tasks May Include:

  • Planting, watering, and weeding

  • Harvesting produce

  • Observing plant growth and ecosystem changes

  • Learning about plant care and vegetable farming

  • Assisting with general garden maintenance
