1pm at Downtown Self-Storage Johnson Street
We have a big ask for any and all volunteers to help us move the iconic Apple Store plywood murals into a new storage facility - if you are comfortable lifting 15-20 lbs in pairs, please reach out to us! Spread the word to friends and family, we will need all hands on deck! Please bring gloves if youโre able to join us. Confirm your availability by sending an email to us at contact@dontshootpdx.org
Wednesday June 18th
5-7pm at PNCA
Youโre invited to kick off Juneteenth with us as we host an evening screen printing session with messages of freedom and solidarity. All ages and experiences are welcome! | RSVP
Thursday June 19th
12-4pm at The BLACK Gallery powered by DSPDX
Get activated with us by screen printing totes, shirts or something of your own. Weโre bringing out Keeโs Loaded Kitchen for a day of delicious soul food and weโre giving away free banned books & art supplies for children to cultivate creativity and knowledge. Come honor Black liberation while making art, sharing food and lifting up our history and future together. | RSVP
Help Support Cultural Icon Isaka Shamsud-Din
We have been honored to share space with and learn so much from Isaka through his creative gifts and storytelling, and now we are asking our community to support him in his time of need. For nearly 80 years Isaka has kept the history of Oregon alive through artistic representation and public murals that have defined generational experiences. Please reflect on these gifts he has shared and place an opportunity to give to this GoFundMe. | Donate Today
