Come join us for a Juneteenth Celebration commemorating 250 years of resistance with community supporting the work of Don't Shoot Portland, a 501c3 arts & education non profit! Our latest Liberated Archives exhibition launches the first ever archive of women’s basketball fashion with art inspired by The Fitted W, a published work by Hypatia Sorunke.

12 to 5pm: Artists from the current exhibit, Inheritors of Movement, will celebrate the holiday with open hours and community conversation at The BLACK Gallery powered by Don’t Shoot Portland | 916 NW Flanders

5:30 - 9:00p: We will head to Fleet Feet NW for a block party with Cowgill PDX, Imigisha Running, Tierra Libre, and Runners Take Action! Join us for a community walk and trail run to support the work of Don’t Shoot Portland! Taking place through Forest Park following an 1865 Strava Art road route, we will end the run by reconvening at Fleet Feet with food from Plant Based Papi, shoe demos with Salomon & Hoka, raffle giveaways, vendors, and a DIY screenprinting station to create your own Juneteenth swag!

3:00 - 6:00pm: Come join us for a Juneteenth Celebration commemorating  250 years of resistance with community supporting the work of Don't Shoot Portland, a 501c3 arts & education non profit! Our latest Liberated Archives exhibition launches the first ever archive of women’s basketball fashion with art inspired by The Fitted W, a published work by Hypatia Sorunke. Enjoy music from local Jazz artist LaRhonda Steele, and become re-acquainted with the work of our community-based organization.
