Don't Shoot Portland's Liberated Archives installation at University of Oregon in Portland's White Stag Block - up now through April 2023

Installation has been completed of our Archives for Black Lives: A Liberated Archives Exhibition series at University of Oregon in Portland’s White Stag Block! In addition to our archival research on display, the exhibit also features fine art by inventive artists Julian Gaines and Jacob Lawrence. Thank you to University of Oregon Libraries for the install help and support in making this come to life!

Visits are open to the public Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and 10am to 3pm on Saturdays. Group visits to the multimedia installation can be scheduled by contacting pdxlib@uoregon.edu.

Our Liberated Archives exhibit in Eugene, Oregon at the Knight Library is nearing its end - please register to attend our hybrid closing reception on February 24th from 1 to 4:30pm PST! The event, A Liberated Archives Experience: Black Memory, Social Justice, Art and the Archive, will include speakers LaTanya Autry of Museums Are Not Neutral, archivist Bill Doggett and Don’t Shoot Portland founder and exhibit curator Teressa Raiford.
