Last Week to see Black renaissance art auction at expensify!

Don't Shoot Portland has been honored to bring social causes to the forefront of our local community through The Black Gallery. We are beyond excited to celebrate one year of gallery exhibitions with you all! On Sunday, December 31st we will bid farewell to our Black Renaissance Art Auction with a closing daytime event featuring live music performances by local artists Marzz Melodezzi and Chris Sax.

This free event will also kick off our banned book drive! Attendees are encouraged to bring a book for donation to support our free book giveaway during Reclaim MLK in January. Let’s amplify access to arts and education for all! Event details can be found here.

Thank you to everyone who has come to view our auction happening at the Bank of Expensify - this is the last week for gallery visits and bidding! Please schedule time to drop by using the link here and make your bids on current works here. Your presence does not go unnoticed and we couldn’t have made it through another year of programming without your support!

Save the Date!

On January 13th, we will launch our 'You Can’t Control Art' Grant Program for youth!

Please join us at the Pacific Northwest College of Art for a free printmaking event followed by a lecture with esteemed anti-racist youth educator Professor Ernest Crim III.

Event is open to the public from 11am to 3pm and guests will receive signed copies of his latest book! Free registration and details here
