Don’t Shoot Portland Announces 10th Annual Reclaim MLK March

Don’t Shoot Portland is excited to announce the 10th Annual Reclaim the Dream March for Human Rights and Dignity, joined this year by the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) and Professor Ernest Crim III. The family-focused, children-led event celebrates 10 years of art, learning, and action to “reclaim the dream” of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

 

What: 10th Annual Reclaim the Dream March for Human Rights and Dignity
When: Monday, Jan. 15, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Gathering begins at 11 a.m. March begins at 1 p.m.

Where: Peninsula Park, 700 North Rosa Parks Way (near the playground)

UPDATE! Due to the expected snowstorm, the printmaking event will be rescheduled for a later date in February and our lecture with Mr. Ernest Crim III has been moved online. Please join the talk by following this Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86155211712

Community members are also invited to take in a history lesson from anti-racist educator Ernest Crim III and make their own signs for the march on Saturday, January 13.

Each year, thousands of advocates for social change join the family-friendly, youth-led march to showcase their commitment to MLK’s dream of human rights and dignity for all.
