Vote Us Best of Portland + Spring Updates ☀️
There are only two days left to vote for our nonprofit as Best of Portland through Willamette Week. Please consider voting for us under the category of Best Art Gallery!
Since our launch of The BLACK Gallery we’ve welcomed visitors from across the world seeking to support Black led art spaces, and we hope to continue curating powerful and intentional exhibits at the gallery for years to come.
We are thankful for the opportunity to host two Lincoln High School interns at our DSPDX Annex this spring. Thank you to Yuni and Djuna for your diligent work in cataloging our expansive Black Cultural Library! We are also grateful to our Reed student librarian, Rukayah for leading this process and setting up an inventory for our rare and out of print collection!
Please reach out if you are interested in volunteer or internship opportunities by emailing socialoutreach@dontshootpdx.org. We are always excited to guide these experiences and involve emerging leaders and change agents in our work.
Call for Moving Help!
This weekend on Saturday and Sunday we are in need of volunteer support as we expand our presence in the community.
From 8am to 12pm we will need hands-on help assembling light tables and chairs, folks able to lift 10-50 lbs and licensed drivers to help transport items from storage to the new office space.
Those interested should email us at socialoutreach@dontshootpdx.org to receive more details about tasks and location.
