We want to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who attended our closing events for our Liberated Archives exhibit at the University of Oregon in Eugene! It was an incredible honor to host the meaningful work of archivists and cultural memory workers Bill Doggett and LaTanya S. Autry. We are invigorated by the University of Oregon’s Special Collections and University Archives nurturing of this partnership and the support of our goals for public education and art.

If you find yourself in Eugene, the installation will remain open through the end of March!

We are grateful to Portland Public Schools teachers for bringing us in to speak to their students about social justice, knowing your rights and the power of protest - thank you to Grant High School and McDaniel High School!

Thank you to University of Oregon's Portland faculty members for inviting us to lead a discussion at the White Stag Block. We are so appreciative of the conversations sparked during the tour and are honored to share our third reimagined version of Liberated Archivesthrough March 9th. Individuals and small groups can make an appointment through the Library by calling 503-412-3671 or emailing pdxlib@uoregon.edu.

This particular installation of Liberated Archives includes our critical research, selected fine art, and rare, first edition books - a must see if you live in Portland!

Moderator Andru Morgan of NW Documentary, Taishona Carpenter of Don’t Shoot Portland, muralist and artist Alex Chiu, and Alice Street director Spencer Wilkinson

Shout out to director Spencer Wilkinson and the Architecture Foundation of Oregon for inviting Don’t Shoot Portland to be a part of your film panel discussion for ‘Alice Street’! The overlapping issues faced by Oakland residents of gentrification, state discrimination and the prioritizing of commercial developers interest resonates strongly with the work that we do to combat systemic discrimination in Portland. We always welcome the opportunity to engage in spaces where potent dialogues can occur - thank you to the Clinton Street Theater for hosting this important event for our community!
